UPSSSC UP Pollution Control Board Recruitment 2026 has announced 115 vacancies in Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB). This is a good opportunity for those candidates who have qualified UPSSSC PET 2025 and want a secure government job in the environmental or technical sector.

Basic Details of Recruitment

The official notification has been released under Advertisement No. 02-Exam/2026. Through this recruitment, different types of technical and non-technical posts will be filled.

Students from various backgrounds can apply, such as science postgraduates, engineering diploma holders, commerce students with accounting knowledge, law graduates, and 12th pass students with science.

The application process will start from 2 April 2026 and will end on 22 April 2026. Candidates can make corrections in their form till 29 April 2026. The exam date will be announced later after shortlisting based on PET scores.

There are 115 total vacancies for different posts. Some of the main posts are Scientific Assistant, Junior Engineer, Monitoring Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Accountant or Auditor, and Law Assistant.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the age and education requirements.

The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 40 years. Reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per rules.

Educational qualification depends on the post. For Scientific Assistant, a postgraduate degree in subjects like Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or Environmental Science is required.

For Junior Engineer, candidates must have a diploma in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or Public Health Engineering.

For Accountant or Auditor, a B.Com degree with accounting knowledge is needed. For Law Assistant, a law degree is required.

For Laboratory Assistant and Monitoring Assistant, candidates must have passed 12th with science subjects.

Selection Process

The selection process is done in steps. First is PET-based short listing. After that, candidates will give the main written exam.

Candidates who pass the exam will go through document verification and then a medical test before final selection.

How to Apply

To apply, candidates need to visit the official UPSSSC website. First, complete the registration by entering basic details. Then fill out the application form carefully.

Enter your PET 2025 roll number and score. Upload your photo and signature. Pay the application fee of around ₹25.

After checking all details, submit the form and take a printout for future use.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will get salary as per the 7th Pay Commission. Posts like Junior Engineer and Scientific Assistant come under Level-6 pay scale.

Along with salary, candidates will also get benefits like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and medical facilities.

Exam Pattern

UPSSSC UP Pollution Control Board 2026 Exam Pattern, The exam will have 100 questions. Each correct answer gives 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be cut for each wrong answer. The exam duration is 2 hours.

Subjects in Exam

The exam will cover environmental topics, basic laws related to pollution, general knowledge of Uttar Pradesh, computer skills and reasoning.

Important topics include the Water Act, the Air Act, the Environmental Protection Act, types of pollution, biological diversity and waste management.
